A performer since the ripe old age of 6, Edd Fairman has been entertaining audiences of all ages as the “wizard of sorts” for more than 12 years.
Starting his career in children’s parties and educational entertainment, Edd has grown a dedicated following through his unique blend of interactive comedy and non-traditional magic for all ages that has allowed him to move confidently into colleges, corporations and private party entertainment.
Over the last decade, Edd has worked with clients including Ford, HBO Films, Four Season Hotels, the Drake Hotels, Harrise Bank, The East Club, The Union League Club and many more.
Edd is a lifelong purveyor of his craft and performs more than 200 shows a year all across the country and owner of Variety Productions, which offers entertainment booking for corporate and private events.
In October of 2005, Edd was named the ‘Magician of the Year’ by the Chicago wizard’s club. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theartre and trained in comedy writing at the world famous Second City Conservatory. He currently resides in Chicago, IL, with a wide assortment of animals, all of whom are friendly and none of whom perform magic.
Beyond magic, Edd is a trained juggler and actor and has been seen on stage at the Loop Theatre, the Chopin Theartre and the side project. His self-produced project, a brand new full-length show called Edd Fairman, ‘Wizard of sorts: Comedy, magic and mayhem’, ran Thursdays at 8 pm at the Gorilla Tango Theater in Chicago,IL from August 5 - September 2nd.
Fairman has always believed in the power of magic. When it’s done well, good magic can change the way one looks at the world. And when it’s done like he does it, it can hopefully makes one laugh at the world a little bit as well. Or if not, just changing the way one looks at it is good too, he feels.
